What an amazing year this has been already...and one of great breakthroughs for me as a photographer. Up until this year, I have been terrified of weddings...and now I seriously ADORE THEM! Huge deal! Perhaps it's because my first few weddings have been RIDICULOUSLY awesome and so much fun! (P.S. How AMAZING is that cake!!! OMGOSH....LOVE IT!!!)
Stefan and Stacey's wedding was NO exception. By about 15 minutes in, I felt like part of the WEDDING party and not just the photographer. LOL! I seriously felt so at home. That could be, in part, that our beautiful bride was running a little bit late. As a result, their dear friend who performed the marriage ceremony and I helped to keep the guests entertained and also get everyone ready. It was at this wedding that I realized how much I loved being so involved in the wedding...and not JUST being the photographer. I was able to help pin flowers on each of the groomsmen, the groom, the fathers and mothers of the bride and groom, run around getting the bride's bouquet, keep the guests updated on her progress and also be in with the breathtaking bride and bride's maid to take pictures while they were getting ready. Who knows...maybe this photographer will be a wedding planner someday. LOVED IT!!! Here are a few shots that I took of some of the groomsmen (Stacey's four sons...such goodlookin' boys), the groom and even the RINGBEARER (Stacey's "baby." LOL!), while we were waiting for our beautiful bride to arrive...
When Stacey and Amy (her best friend and bride's maid) arrived, it was a race to get our bride in her dress and ready to walk down the aisle. But my goodness....there was no question that it was worth the wait. She look breathtaking.

Just minutes after arriving, Stacey was ready and what an absolutely beautiful wedding this was..and so sweet to see these 4 cute boys give their Mama away. It was a small and intimate group gathered for their special day...it was perfect. Such a honor to have been able to capture memories of this beautiful couple and the beginning of their life together.

I didn't notice this until I edited these pictures....the ringbearer has a manicure. LOL! Love it!!
After the ceremony, and after Stacey and Stefan were able to visit with their guests, we headed outside for a bit to take pictures before the wedding celebration.

And with the signing of the Marriage Certificate and the cutting of the cake, it was official. SO happy for this beautiful couple. I'm learning that as professional as I am, I have the hardest time removing myself from the situation and JUST being "the photographer." My eyes have teared up at every wedding I have done...including this one. What a wonderful day..and such a great group. Everyone was so kind and kept asking me to stay all evening and celebrate with them. And if I hadn't had a VERY important appointment to go DANCING, I would have ABSOLUTELY stayed. In fact, I DID end up staying almost 2 hours after I was "off the clock" just to visit with some of the guests. What a blast.
Generally, I will edit 10-12 sample proofs for my clients to give them an idea of the editing options they have for when THEY choose THEIR faves for me to edit. Obviously...as you can see...I couldn't stop at 10-12. I had a BLAST editing pictures of this gorgeous wedding. I had to FORCE myself to stop editing so that I could get other things done that are on my TO DO list. LOL! So, until Stefan and Stacy are able to review all of the shots from their special day, I thought it would be fun to post a "few" sneak peeks...MY faves from their wedding.
Stefan and Stacey...thank you SO much for the honor of being your photographer. What a beautiful day. You are such a gorgeous couple and were so kind to me. I felt so completely welcome by your entire wedding party. You have amazing family and friends. So great to meet you. I hope that you are as pleased with these proofs as I am. I will have a CD ready for you within the next few days and will look forward to seeing what YOUR faves are. Sure love you already. Much love and happiness to you both and you begin your new life together!
