Today has been a long day at the end of a long few weeks. Seems like we've been blessed with a variety of "opportunities for growth" all at once here at The White House. To only name a few...I was more sick than I can ever remember being for almost 2 weeks a few weeks ago and am just barely getting my full strength back, had a series of computer viruses that put much of my priceless data at jeopardy, our house flooded this weekend and Kaden was diagnosed today with pneumonia. I don't ever like to dwell on the "trials" at hand...but the GROWTH that comes as a RESULT of those "trials." So for that reason, I will refrain from completing the list of fabulous growth experiences we've had lately. That isn't really the point of this post anyway. As exhausted as I am...my spirits are strong and "UP." I am more in love with my babies, my Savior and LIFE in general than I ever have been. But I can't deny that I am.....exhausted. I am so blessed to be provided with so many opportunities for growth and strength....and so RICHLY blessed with ANGELS along the way. Today was no exception.
So grateful, after a long day at the doctor's office and pharmacy today with Kaden, to come home to a message on my Facebook wall from my dear friend Carla that said, "Heather - Thank you for being such a great example of a 'woman of strength'. You are such an inspiration to others. I am blessed to know you, my dear :) Much love ~ C" Little does Carla know JUST how much that meant...and how perfect her timing was. God is so very good to us to send us His angels and countless tender mercies to "soften the blow" during some of the richest "trials" of our lives. Attached to Carla's message was a slideshow presentation with a poem that I had never heard, loved immediately, and brought tears to my eyes. I want to share these comforting words with you, knowing that there are MANY "Women of Strength" that read my blog on a daily basis, and very well may need these words of encouragement as much as I needed them today.
A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape...
But a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn't afraid of anything...
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.
A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her...
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman walks sure footedly...
But a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.
A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face...
But a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.
Many thanks to my dear angel friend, who was so in tune to the Spirit...when I was truly aching for these amazing words of encouragement. And love and overwhelming gratitude to the loving Father who sent her to me....

Love <3
