It was the day AFTER Father's Day that I actually spent time with my Dad....so until I have all of those fun pictures edited, I thought I would blog quickly about Father's Day for my little ones. :-) The night before Father's Day, the kiddies and I worked on a special gift for their Dad. I found this amazing print at Seagull Book and knew that Chas would love it (being the world's biggest Cougar fan). When Kaden saw it, he said, "MAMA..THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!!! Daddy will LOVE IT!" Yay! The night before, the kids took time and wrote and colored on the back of the print for their dad. When they finished, and I read what Kaden had written, I felt a tug at my heart. What an angel he is...such sweet words for his Daddy that he loves so much. In addition to this print, we prepared cinnamon rolls and Daddy's favorite juice (as well as Bit-O-Honeys...Daddy's favorite treat) for Father's Day breakfast.
We woke up bright and early to get ready to deliver breakfast and Chas' gift, so that they could make it to Daddy's early Sacrament Meeting and still have time to eat beforehand. The kids were so excited to get there and see him open his gift. Seneca almost had it opened before she got to the door. :-)
The rest of the day and overnight, the kiddies were with their Daddy to celebrate his special day. How grateful I am for Chas. Having been single now for over a year, I have heard so many challenging stories from those that I have come in contact with in the "single world." What a miracle and blessing it is, that I know my little ones have a father who loves them so much. I know, without a doubt, that not only are they physically safe with him (I am learning that that alone, is SUCH a great blessing), but that he does all he can to be the very best father for them. I love that. On this special day, not only was I grateful for MY wonderful father (whom I will blog more about at a later date), but for the wonderful father of my two greatest miracles.

How awesome!!! I am so happy that you are able to work together for your children. Such a wonderful Father's Day gift!

I am tearing up at this post because I have been following your blog for a few years - I don't know why you marriage split up and I was truly sad for you all when it did but you are such a great example of true charity and Christlike love. There are really not many out there like you who show such caring, love and kindness to their ex-husband. It is such a wonderful gift that you and Chas both are giving to your children. The gift of parents who are respectful, generous and kind.
You are a great example to many!
