A friend of ours told me a while ago that he really likes to listen to his entire ipod library on shuffle to mix things up a bit. SUCH A FUN IDEA!! With my EXTREMELY eclectic music taste, I thought that would be fun to try. It becomes especially interesting when you have books on tape on your ipod as well. LOL! So you may listen to a song and then a chapter of a book and then another song, etc. The key is, you have to listen to whatever comes on next. Since the only books that I have on my ipod right now are inspirational self-help books, this has been a really fun and spontaneous AND inspirationally uplifting thing for me....to listen to my ipod library on shuffle instead of just the playlists I have made. And the cool thing is, you end up hearing songs you haven't heard in ages and have forgotten are even on your ipod. I find myself memorizing my playlists so that I always know what songs are coming up next. THIS WAY, I never know what I am going to get. I may go from Anne Murray to Beastie Boys to Oak Ridge Boys to Michael McLean to Pitbull to ABBA to Bing Crosby Christmas to Dire Straights to Dan Zanes Kid Songs to Neal McCoy to Erasure to Michael Buble to Bar J Wranglers to Dean Martin, etc. etc. You never know what you're going to get. LOVE IT! I love music so much...ALL KINDS..and I love hearing all of the different genres all together. It's a fun way to keep you on your toes and add a little SURPRISE tand SPONTANEITY to our otherwise slightly mundane daily routines! YAY!
So anyway...I thought it would be fun, while I'm editing pics, to document the next RANDOM 40 songs that pop up on my ipod and challenge you to do this on your blog...just for fun! And NO CHEATING....you have to write down the next 20 random shuffle songs that pop up. For this challenge, I am not going to document the book on tape chapters that pop up in this next 40 (mainly because the book that is on my ipod is one that deserves an entire blog entry and not just a brief mention on this list), but will record HOW MANY chapters I listened to in the midst of these 40 songs. :-) So, turn your entire ipod library on shuffle, push play and then push forward and that will be song #1 on your list!!
